The Great British Food Company
We are a small family run business that produces a range of hand crafted products on behalf of The Royal Horticultural Society, The Old Dairy Brewery, Chelsea Flower Show, Dame Kelly Holmes and Chiddingstone Castle.
Our products have won food & beer related awards over the last few years as well as 2 Gold Stars in the 2013 Great Taste Awards.
Over the last 3 years we have established a range of artisan food, beer, mead and wine related products that are made in Sussex, Surrey & Kent.
Everything we source is from the UK and much of the fruit and vegetables are from the grounds of RHS Wisley. Where we can’t obtain products locally we opt for Fair-trade options.
We also aim to give employment to people in the local community, who cannot for various reasons go out to work, perhaps due to either child care, or other personal circumstances and so prefer to work from their homes, this can assist young mums as well as more mature people who still have much to offer the community.
Our products are made without using any artificial additives and yet we are still able to ensure a 2 year shelf life on most of our products, before being opened. We use a blend of natural and environmentally friendly products & ingredients.
All our food makers are fully checked and inspected by not only ourselves but by the local health & hygiene departments in their locations.
Finally we aim to offer our unique products, which will not be found in supermarkets or on the high street to customers who want to taste and purchase products that are quintessentially British.
We endeavour to ensure where possible all our products are made and purchased in the UK.
